Thanks for your interest in First Nature Guide Service! I, Captain John Larson am an insured, USCG licensed Master Captain and inshore fishing guide operating out of Fort Pierce, Florida. Having been blessed with being raised in the outdoor lifestyle, I understand that a successful day outdoors means safety, lots of fun, and productivity... at least when it comes to fishing.

Growing up, I would fish the ponds on my family's ranch in nearby Okeechobee county and developed an unusual attachment to the sport. Eventually, I took my newfound interest (and the ranch's jon boat) to the famed Indian River Lagoon where I learned the habits of Florida's most sought after inshore gamefish. After graduating from the University of Florida, I realized I needed to pursue my greatest passion- catching fish and taking others fishing.

Today, First Nature Guide Service specializes in light tackle angling for spotted seatrout, snook, redfish, and others. Depending on conditions and target species, both artificial lure and live or cut bait techniques are used to provide the best shot at a successful trip. All fishing is done with user-friendly spinning gear featuring Shimano rods and reels, Power Pro line, and proven artificial lures.

All trips are from my Hewes Redfisher 18 flats boat powered by an efficient Yamaha 115 four stroke outboard. Some features include a Humminbird GPS / fish finder, Minn Kota

i-pilot trolling motor, 8ft Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchor, baitwell, fish box, cooler/storage, and all required safety equipment.
